IP type cameras get their power through an Ethernet cable connection. This is especially convenient because the video signal and power comes from the same cable.

  8. Light sensitivity. The security cameras can provide excellent performance in low light situations. This is especially useful in nighttime activities. It is even possible to purchase IR cameras which can operate in completely dark environments.

  9. Size. The modern security cameras can be produced in ultra small (or "spy") packages. This is ideal for those applications where you don't want anyone to know that they are being monitored.
